Where to Start with your Maileg Mouse Collection

Where to Start with your Maileg Mouse Collection

Starting your Maileg collection is so fun! Although for many it happens by accident and wasn’t intended to be a ‘collection’ at all. Once you experience the magic and wonder (and quality) of those miniature mice it is very hard not to get yourself (or your children) some more.

That said, I realise collecting is not for the faint hearted and it can very quickly become a gold mine of mice, so here is my best attempt at selecting my top tier Maileg mice to start your own little mouse house.

Mice with Magnetic Hands

I would say that having at least one mouse with magnetic hands is a must, they can hold the teacups, each other’s hands, and are much easier to stand up in your dollhouse by grabbing on to some metal furniture for support.

I think my favourites are the big sister hiker mouse, the waiter mouse & the big sister mouse in the matchbox (I couldn't possibly only pick one could I?!). As I write this the cowboy mouse is not yet released but I am expecting him to be VERY popular!

Baby Mice

What's the next best thing after mice with magnetic hands?! Baby mice!!! The teeny tiniest cutest Maileg, you need at least one baby in your mouse family. I also love the My size rabbits which are roughly the same size as the baby mice.

I think it's really fun to mix in the rabbits or teddies, I know it seems at the start that you only want mice; but trust me all the other Maileg friends sneak in eventually anyway so I suggest you just embrace them from the beginning!

By now you already have enough mice for a great imaginative play session, and to fill up a few rooms in your dollhouse, but if you wanted some grown up mice to play mummy or daddy then these are your options currently.

Just a little note to say that I will try to update these posts as new collections are released so they are up to date for you. But if you are reading this and notice someone is missing please do comment and tell me as a little nudge to update things!

And let me know your favourites too!
